Patch
Patch was adopted on November 12th, 2001, at the age of
approximately 7 years old. He came to the GSD rescue at age 6 1/2
in July of 2001. He was initially adopted out to a man in SLC but
his fears and constant pacing made the man return him, which was
lucky for me because I got the chance to adopt him instead! The
man who initially adopted him is the one who named him Patch, which
is short for Apache, not due to the patches of black on his sides.
He is a sweet, loveable dog who is a bit afraid of thunder and loud
noises. He loves his mommy and thinks there is nothing better than
trying to become a lap dog and get lots of hugs and kisses.
Some recent pictures of Patch.
That is an end table he is
sitting on, not a chair!

Detroit. Some day hopefully Patch will be a therapy dog too, and be
able to go do therapy visits.

I call this the "three babushkas" shot.

Patch, my sweetie boy. Picture taken March 5th, 2002, 4 months
after Patch was adopted. He has developed into quite a love-sponge,
he loves to come up and drape his legs/chest across my lap while I'm
on the computer and get me to give him hugs and kisses. He loves to
get belly rubs on the bed in the morning.
