Teaching

A faculty member in the USU College of Family Life since 1982, I teach undergraduate courses for the Family Finance Emphasis in the Family and Consumer Sciences major and graduate courses in family economics and resource management.

Courses I teach:

FCHD 3450
Consumer Credit Problems (3 credits; Fall). This class contains Consumer credit problems, debt reduction strategies, credit collection policies and practices, bankrupty and government assistance programs, and preparation for Accredited Financial Counselor exam.

FCHD 4330 Family Finance Career Seminar (1 credit; Fall). The purpose of this class is to explore career options via readings, supervised discussion, attending semnars presented by professionals, developing interview surveys, interviewing practitioners, and developing an internship and career plan. Students in this class are also expected to attend the annual conference of the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE) in November.
