Community Service "Financial Planning for Women" is a free educational seminar offered the second Wednesday of each month 12:30-1:30 (Family Life room 318) and 7-8:30 p.m. at the Family Life Center. The mission of FPW is to educate women about personal finance and investing and motivate them to take responsibility for their financial future. Goals: Topics range from basic money management and getting out of debt to investments and estate planning. Family Finance students sometimes assist in teaching the seminars. The Family Life Center, located at 493 North 700 East in Logan offers free housing and financial counseling. Link to FLC web site. I served on the Cache Metropolitan Planning Organization (CMPO) Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee. I'm committed to fighting Cache Valley's slide into a mini version of the Salt Lake Valley with its over dependence on single occupancy vehicles. Gas in the U.S. is way too cheap.
