I've loved to write since I was in the Fifth Grade of Elementary School. My English teacher at that time was Mrs. Jepsen and she always encouraged us to express ourselves through the written word (high aims considering our age ^_^). To help us, Mrs. Jepsen would give us an opening sentence and we would write a story based on it for extra credit. Out of the submissions, she would select the stories that she thought were particularly good and would read them aloud to the class. I had never really written anything before but hey it was extra credit! So I wrote two short stories and handed them in, thinking nothing would come of it except a few points added to my grade. Imagine my surprise when two of the maybe five stories Mrs. Jepsen selected to read were mine!!
From that time on, I have loved to write. Thank you Mrs. Jepsen!!!

Below are some of the stories I have rediscovered when I began going through my old computer disks. This is by no means a complete list and I hope to it as I find more stories.

This piece was written as an school assignment. I
didn't get a very good grade on it though as my teacher at the time
didn't think it was the right format (Old Bat! :p). I like it though.

This story was also written for school, this time
for a Science Fiction course I took in High School (I think). The assignment
was to write about a time traveler who goes into the future. What do
they find? Has the world become a better place? (I think I had watched
too many episodes of Star Trek when I wrote this ;P)
